Factor XIII V34L is a condition where the amino acid Val at position 34 is changed to Leu, which is close to the thrombin cleavage site allowing it to alter Factor XIII’s function as a determinant of thrombosis. This substitution of amino acids at position 34 is due to the mutation of nucleotide G to nucleotide T on gene 103. Due to an increased expression of the protein Factor XIII and a detection for mutation genes or substitution changes, the condition can be detected by means of this PCR kit.
