Additional study for saliva samples and COVID-19

Last week we published a post regarding a COVID-19 determination by using saliva samples instead of nasopharyngeal swabs. You can find this post by clicking here. In this post we proved that saliva samples give the same results for COVID-19 determination as nasopharyngealswabs. This can be seen in the publication by clicking on the button below that page.

This time we want to take it a step further, and prove to you that saliva samples work even better. Because you can not only detect viral RNA with saliva samples just like nasopharyngeal swabs, but immunoglobulins too. Because of this, you don’t have to do a bloodtest making saliva superior once again. By sampling saliva from persons that need to be tested for viral RNA and/or antibodies, both of these determinations can be done at will. By clicking on the button below, you can read the publication that proves this.
