Human metapneumovirus (hMPV), first identified in the Netherlands in 2001, is an RNA virus that belongs to the Metapneumovirus genus within the Pneumovirinae subfamily of the Paramyxoviridae family. hMPV is a virus that can cause respiratory infection. hMPV infection is a typical respiratory infection in infants. It is similar to respiratory syncytial (RS) virus infection and differentiation from each other is difficult. hMPV infection is an important factor for inducing bronchiolitis.

That is why we now have a super easy point of care test to diagnose hMPV. There are 2 different products of the Capilia hMPV test:

The Capilia RSV neo is  a test for detecting the RS virus. We now sell them in 2 kinds of boxes:

  • Capilia RSV neo 20T/box (CARS0970)

In addition, it has been reported that fulminant hemolytic streptococcal infection leads to a fatal outcome within a short time.

That is why we now have a super easy point of care test to diagnose Streptococcus A: The Capilia Strep A 20T/box (CAST1170)
